Manuevering Motorcycle Classifieds

Which classified source do you prefer when buying or selling a motorcycle? Understandibly, you are looking for the maximum exposure when buying or selling. With more than a handful of motorcycle classifieds sites to consider, its no wonder most people don’t know where to begin. Our article summarizes five classified offerings on the web. No science was involved in selecting these vendors. Here are the top five noted motorcycle classifieds sites that we’ve reviewed to shorten your search:
#1 www.motors.ebay.com. The eBay® Motors site located on eBay® will probably feel the most comfortable to use for those that have used this site previously. Not only does it track buyer and sellers habits through a feedback forum, it is equipped with an immediate and accurate estimate of the cost to ship your new motorsports vehicle using your reliable motorcycle shipper: HaulBikes, a preferred motorcycle classifieds eBay® provider.
Let’s say going to auction for your bike isn’t your style, then consider one of the following four options.
#2 www.cycletrader.com offers easy to use classified advertising packages for you to sell your bike for as little as $19. The site is well organized with search options based on zipcodes, cost, makes and models. The major difference noted with this site compared to the first source, is that sellers can create a customized video clip for potential buyers to view - which really comes in handy when trying to make a bike stand out from the competition.

Hasta La Vista, Gas!
Following up on our Zero Electric Motorcycle discussion, the Zero just got some high profile attention this past month.
At the eCarTec in Münich, Germany, Zero was selected as the “Best Electric Motorcycle."
And at the AltCar in California, Governor Schwarzenegger (aka The Terminator) visited the Zero booth during his tour of the show. The Buell Motorcycles Ride Takes a Turn
Harley-Davidson, Inc. recently announced that it will discontinue producing Buell® motorcycles and products as part of Harley-Davidson’s go-forward business strategy.
Buell Motorcycle Company was founded in 1983 by Erik Buell and became a part of Harley-Davidson, Inc. in 1998. Over the past 26 years, they have created over 135,000 Buell motorcycles. Buell motorcycles won numerous design accolades and awards, and countless races and championships around the world, including the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike championship in 2009.
We want to say good-bye to a legendary American-made motorcycle produced right here in Wisconsin. On December 18, the plant in Troy, Wisconsin will officially close.
A limited number of new Buell motorcycles remain available for sale through authorized dealerships and production so if you’re still looking to get one, better add that to your to-do list as they’ll most likely go quickly.
If you currently own a Buell, be grateful to own an icon piece and feel relieved that Harley-Davidson will provide replacement parts and service through dealerships and that warranty coverage will continue as normal.
This may be the end of one chapter, but Eric Buell is beginning a new one. He will be starting a new venture of Buell building racing motorcycles and parts.

Erik Buell Racing will be based in East Troy, Wisconsin and will be staffed by Erik Buell and a veteran team of personnel. For more information, after December 1, 2009, contact:
