Five great gifts for motorcycle riders
At HaulBikes, we're all motorcycle fanatics. So we asked around our office to find out what was top of everyone's holiday wish list for this season.
Here's a quick sample of what we'd like to see under the tree:
1. Handlebar GPS unit. Find the best routes without fumbling with maps. The GPS units we like are waterproof, rugged and come with a wireless headset that fits inside your helmet. The TomTom Rider 2nd Edition even has a glove-friendly touch screen. COOL!!
2. Heated vests and jackets. Nothing ruins a ride faster than being cold and wet, but you don't want to look like sasquatch wearing ten different layers. New fabric technology lets you stay warm with a motorcycle vest wired with a battery pack or a power cord that plugs into your bike.
3. Two-way radios. Who needs hand signals? We love two-way radios for any long ride. Just mount the speakers inside your helmet and use the "push-to-talk" feature to communicate with your riding companions.
4. Satellite radio. Hit the road with your favorite station with a Sirius radio with a motorcycle installation kit. Great music, sports, news or talk from anywhere.
5. Shipping. Gear and gadgets are fun, but in our opinion, the best gift of all is the ride itself. So how about surprising your loved one with a trip to his or her favorite rally or planning an extra-cool destination ride -- complete with bike shipping? Haul Bikes now has shipping gift certificates available in any denomination!
