Our Driver of the Month for August is Morgan Williams. We believe Morgan may be the biggest bike collector of the mix. From a 2008 Harley-Davidson Nightrod to a 1948 Harley currently getting rebuilt, he has quite the variety. His Harley collection rounds out with a 2003 Ultra Classic and a 1981 FLH, not to mention his wife's addition to the list - a 1968 Triumph Bonneville and 2007 HD. Of course, there's always room for more. He wouldn't mind a good bike from the MidAmerica Motorcycle Auction – maybe a Flathead or Knucklehead - or maybe one of each engine style would be nice. |

Morgan has been trucking for 25 years in the freight realm and a one full year with us at HaulBikes. He is enjoying the "go everywhere" and "see everything" part of his job. "It's great because I get paid for sightseeing," he says. "It's one of the advantages." Morgan says there are still roads, believe it or not, he hasn't seen, but maybe with more time driving with us, he'll get to cross them off his list.
His favorite spot so far is the Northwest for its scenic rides. If he has to stop along the way, he recommends Flying Js, well, at least that's where his dogs recommend. Waboose (rabbit in Ojibwe) and Boris prefer spots like that where they have lots of grass to hang out in. His terriers often join Morgan on the ride along with his wife, Rhonda.
With all of his travels, Morgan says he's never gotten lost and if he has, he always finds his way back on track. He thanks his GPS for that and claims that clever tool also comes in handy for alerts on traffic jams and bad weather, even more than the ol' CB radio. It's all about the ride really, when Morgan gets some free time, it's time to sit back on the bike, relax and enjoy the ride.
Has Morgan shipped for you? Next time you get your bike delivered, watch for the quiet, peaceful guy with the leopard tattoo on his arm. Or as his wife claims, the tattoo that looks like freckles.
Thanks a ton Morgan!
